he Moffat House is steeped in history. This landmark home was built in 1905 and marked the city limits at that time. |
For over 50 years Dr. Agnes Moffat, Peterborough’s
first female doctor,
lived here with her husband Dr. Rusty Magee, a renowned and
innovative surgeon. Guests were lavishly entertained
in a movie theatre, housed in the basement viewing home
movies of their world-wide travels. Robertson Davies,
among others, was a favourite and frequent visitor to
the home.
A home of distinction, The Moffat House has been featured in
several popular house tours.
